Club Pierre Charron

Los Angeles, CA (September 20, 2019) – WPTDeepStacks™ today announced a new partnership with Club Pierre Charron (Groupe Marval), in Paris, France, to host the first WPTDeepStacks Paris festival. The series will take place from February 21-March 1, 2020 with the WPTDeepStacks Main Event to play from February 26-March 1.

Club Pierre Charron, ideally located near the Champs-Elysées, is expected to open its doors at the end of 2019 and the World Poker Tour® partnership extends until 2023. The state-of-the-art facility will feature more than 40 tables, a broad range of tournaments and cash games, a selection of casino games, and is fully equipped with RFID technology in its chips and tables. The club is also the largest gaming space in Paris and holds the most poker tables in the city.

The WPT® and Paris hold a storied history dating back to Season I that includes the crowning of WPT Champions David Benyamine, Season XVI WPT Tournament of Champions winner Matthew Waxman, and Season XI WPT Player of the Year Matt Salsberg. In addition, the WPT and Paris partnered for numerous successful WPT National events.

“On behalf of Club Pierre Charron, we are thrilled to start this partnership with World Poker Tour,” said Gregory Benac, President at Marval. “It is a great honour to host the WPT at Club Pierre Charron; this opens the doors to our new facility in spectacular fashion.”

“The World Poker Tour is delighted to enter Paris once again and play an event at what is sure to be a stunning venue,” Hermance Blum, WPT VP Europe, said. “The experienced leadership of Club Pierre Charron combined with the high-end technology available, and the widest variety of games, made this destination a natural choice for the WPT to host WPTDeepStacks Paris.”

The buy-in and full event schedule for WPTDeepStacks Paris will be announced at a later date.
