Job Title: Belgium Poker Room Operations Manager
Division Poker Room Management
Location Isle Of Man
Reports to Director of Poker Room Operations
Job Purpose
To oversee day-to-day operations of the PokerStars.be site. To work alongside the Poker Room Management and Customer Relationship Marketing teams, as well as business partners in Belgium, in dealing with general management tasks, including escalations from other departments, working on marketing and promotions, tournament schedules, etc. To strengthen the company’s presence in Belgium.
Key Responsibilities
* Ongoing management of PokerStars.be poker operations, ensuring the growth and success of the site
* Working in cooperation with business partners in Belgium on policies, relations with gaming authorities, and local issues
* Defining schedules for online tournaments and game deployments, and assisting with deployment as necessary
* Implementing improvements to poker room to increase satisfaction of players and bottom-line profitability
* Implementing rules, policies and procedures, and generally working to improve all site operations.
* Working with Belgium Marketing team to effectively raise awareness and interest in PokerStars.be and live events schedule
* Acting as the key internal contact for our partners in Belgium, coordinating with PokerStars staff as necessary to resolve issues and address queries
* Overseeing planning and execution of promotions
* Working with live events team and local business partners to promote live poker events in Europe and possible live events for the Belgium market, including integration with online site
* Being a champion of poker within Belgium
* Providing excellent customer service to players
* Assisting with general Poker Room Management issues as required
Skills and Capabilities
Essential
* Bi-lingual in English and either French or Dutch
* Good knowledge of the poker industry worldwide
* Good knowledge of the PokerStars client
* Extensive knowledge of poker rules, procedures, and best practice
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong Information Technology skills, including good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel)
* Willingness to work long and/or unusual hours when necessary
* Proven ability to take ownership of all aspects of a project from conception to completion.
Desirable
* Knowledge of French, Dutch and German languages
* Extensive experience working in the Belgium market
* Highly analytical, quantitative, data-based problem solving and optimization skills
* Knowledge of the French online poker market
* Managerial experience
* Experience in web development (particularly HTML and basic scripting languages)
