Hello,

While I was using HM2, several bugs appeared simultaneously and suddenly. I tried to reinstall twice, upgraded it, I even upgraded to 2.0.0.7207 RC but it doesn’t change anything.

Bugs are:

 • Hand replayer does display but is empty. No card, no player, no stats. Nothing.
 • Tournament report display the date: 31.12.9999 23:59:59
 • Tournaments stats reports display multiples wrong stats: negativ EV$ (which is impossible), 0$ winnings, etc.
 • Tournament winnings graph seems to be stuck at a some date. It does not show my most recent winnings.

I suspect that there are others inconsistencies that I did not spot.

All theses bugs appeared at the same time so it seems probable that they have a shared cause. Something to do with the DB ?

Thanks for your help.

:frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please give HoldemManager Administrator rights -

 1. Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
 2. Right-click the HoldemManager.exe and choose « Properties ».
 3. Go to the Compatibility Tab and select « Run this program as an Administrator ».
 4. Do the same for HMImport.exe, HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe

Please update to the latest version - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/hm2-releases/294822-internal-version-2-0-0-7207-release-candidate.html

If you continue to have problems, Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to hm2support@holdemmanager.com

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31).

What is your Windows > Control Panel > Region and Language > Format: option set to?

Close HM2 and change it to English (USA), then restart HM2. The Reports should now work again.

Close HM2 again and change your regional settings back to your native setting and start HM2 again.

Did that solve the problems with the Reports?

If you continue to have problems, try the following -

*Try creating a new DataBase - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How is a new database created in Holdem Manager 2?
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: Options / Hand Importing / Manual Hand Importing
All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

Negative $EV in Single Table SNG’s is definitely possible. Please read this FAQ and watch the video - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: What is EV? (Expected Value)

Any tournament with more than 1 table will require a separate Tournament Summary/History file to be imported for HM2 to properly calculate the size, places, and prizes. If your site does not write summaries, or you experience any discrepancies with the results, you will need to manually edit the results via the Reports > Tournament > Tournaments > right-click > edit.

You may need to request and import any/all of your old tournament histories and import those to HM2. Stars did not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive in the past, like FTP did. They recently added this feature, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client to be sure that it is enabled in the Pokerstars options and be sure that HM2 has added the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.

Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Summaries.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. It will probably ask you to search/select your Pokerstars screen name. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.

If you continue to have problems, please zip and email the problem hand histories. All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

Please make sure you have Cleared Filters from the main menu ribbon. If you are still having problems in the new database using the new update from above please send us the hand histories for testing.

Thanks for your help Fozzy.

Creating a new DB and importing hands corrected all my bugs, but new problems appeared…

Getting REALLY disappointed with HM2 !
